I consider myself an explorer in jewelry making. I experiment with volume and shapes, in the search for distinctiveness, combining clear geometric forms and abstract line composition. My work is always based upon the beauty, curiosity, simplicity and minimalism. I once read that “Beauty can exist on its own, but it cannot be created without skill.
Applied arts and architecture are some of my sources of inspiration, as well as the delicacy of geometric elements in harmony and equilibrium, with elegance and modernity. My first steps in jewelry making began with my friend and teacher Reinhard Zoels in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. I continue learning on my own through experimentation. I was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay. I traveled extensively, lived for a few years in El Salvador and Guatemala, and currently, Portland, Oregon and the Pacific NW became my home. |
Beauty can exist on its own, but it cannot be created without skill. I create in search of simplicity” |
